Why We Choose Differently

We built Vellum & Field for people who love animals deeply, but do not want their homes taken over by disposable pet clutter.

Our rule is simple: every product has to earn its place. It should solve a real daily problem, look calm in a grown-up home, and make life with dogs and cats a little easier.

We are not trying to carry everything. We are trying to choose better.

What we look for:

• Comfort that matters — beds, supports, feeders, and travel pieces that help animals move, rest, eat, and settle with less friction.

• Materials and construction we can understand — washable surfaces, stable shapes, clear sizing, practical hardware, and product information detailed enough to stand behind.

• A real reason to exist — if a product feels like filler, we leave it out. A smaller catalog is better when every piece has a job.

Molly taught us the senior years deserve special care. Romeo and Roscoe keep us honest about cat furniture, scratching, climbing, and mischief. Vellum & Field is shaped by real animals first, then refined for the homes they live in.
